Artist Statement

I see the world as immensely beautiful. Sidewalk cracks, subway-seat stains, the broken down, grotesque, unsightly—all beautiful. Because of this, I am filled with deep joy and gratitude. I create art to encapsulate these feelings.

Through my art, I highlight beauty in mundane aspects of life by exaggerating colors, forms, and what is possible. In each piece, I strive to amplify life’s often-overlooked beauty, trying to inspire viewers to appreciate the world through a new, more hopeful lens.

At the same time, I make art to dissect and comment on the experience of being a woman in the world. I explore themes like innocence, being watched, and the subtle ways we perform ourselves in daily life. I often reimagine old epics and myths through a feminist lens—centering strong, complex female figures rather than passive damsels in distress. These narratives allow me to reclaim and reshape cultural stories, turning them into spaces of empowerment and critique.

In my art, I invite viewers to get lost in each piece, slowly discovering and appreciating more and more subtle moments of beauty, tension, and meaning. I hope viewers continue to look at life this way, finding the world more beautiful—and more worthy of questioning—one glance at a time.
